Halliday ready for Bristol Rovers test

18 October 2019

Brad Halliday believes Rovers have shown their character when coming up against some of the better teams in Sky Bet League One.

Darren Moore’s side take on fourth-placed Bristol Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium this weekend, and the full-back says that will be another test of their resolve.

He said: “It’s been a difficult start for us in terms of the standard of team we’ve come up against, we seem to time it so the opposition are just coming into form when they play us.

“Saturday is no different to that and Bristol Rovers are in good form, but the tests we’ve had have made us better and show how much character we have.

“It’s an ongoing thing for us to keep working, we’re satisfied with the start we’ve made but we’re still working hard to keep improving.”

As his own performances continue to improve week by week, Halliday feels he has settled in well to life at the club.

He added: “With the amount of games I’ve played I feel fitter and that has allowed me to get further up the pitch and take a few shots on.

“I’ve only scored three goals in my career but hopefully I can work on that and add goals and assists to my game.”
