Zain Westbrooke admitted adding goals to his game was playing on his mind before netting in Rovers’ 4-1 win over Sutton United.
The midfielder rifled in Rovers’ third of the comfortable win and, speaking to the media afterwards, the 26-year-old said he was keen to find the net on a regular basis.
“It’s been a long time coming,” he said. “It’s something that’s been playing on my mind because I want to chip in and help the lads, and I want to score goals.
“I’m really glad to have got the first one out of the way.
“It’s something I’ve always wanted to be - a goalscoring midfielder - so hopefully I can push on from here.”
