Club Doncaster Foundation held the launch of their Fit Rovers programme at the Keepmoat Stadium on Thursday night.
The players prepared for their 3-1 win sporting the Fit Rovers t-shirts before they handed them out to lucky fans in the crowd.
In line with this, a cluster of famous faces around the stadium also showed their support as well content on the big screen to further launch the programme.
Fit Rovers co-ordinator Scott Copeland was delighted with the support from everyone involved on the night.
He said: “The club have been excellent with our Fit Rovers launch. Having the players endorse the programme by wearing the shirts during the warm up was so significant. It was great to see our video up on the big screen too.
“We’re really excited about starting the programme at the Keepmoat Stadium and the volunteers portrayed that across perfectly on the night. It was perfect that it was such an entertaining top of the table clash for them to see afterwards too!”
Fit Rovers is a free men’s health course at the Keepmoat Stadium that lasts eight weeks. It combines tailored fitness sessions and health workshops to help men over the age of 30 lose weight and adapt a healthier lifestyle.
Unlike big fitness/weight-loss chains that charge you for public weigh-ins and give very little guidance, information at Fit Rovers is completely confidential meaning you can keep a track of exactly how you’re doing on a one-to-one basis with the staff.
One session a week for eight weeks is included in the course, as well as incentives such as sports wear, Doncaster Rovers player visits and money off match shirts.
The sessions consist of an interactive workshop looking at managing portion sizes and making healthy but tasty food followed by a gym session tailored to the needs of every individual.
