Grant enjoying return

13 January 2017

Conor Grant feels he has unfinished business with Doncaster Rovers

Grant re-signed for his second loan spell with the club at the start of January and has slotted straight into the side.

He has played every minute of both league games since returning, and the 21-year-old says it is good to be part of a winning team.

“The position the lads have put themselves in is an excellent one and it’s something that we need to keep building on. Game by game we need to keep picking up the points,” said Grant.

“We want to get promoted and for me personally, I just want to play as many games as I can and help the team push on.

“We had a bad run when I was here last season so now on the flip side the team are winning games and the confidence is high.”

The Everton loanee believes he has the trust of manager Darren Ferguson, and pointed out that as one of the main reasons for him coming back to the Keepmoat Stadium.

“The manager was really pushing to get me so it shows how much confidence he has in me. I loved working with him last time and now it’s even better,” added Grant.

“The manager really seems to get the best out of me. He understands me as a person and as a player.

“It just feels great to be back really, for me it’s normal service resumed and I’m enjoying my football again.”
