Midfielder makes move back to Rovers on loan.
Riccardo Calder has returned to Doncaster Rovers until January 2nd 2017.
The versatile 20 year old impressed for Darren Ferguson’s side last season while on loan from Aston Villa and made 12 appearances in the second half of the season at Keepmoat Stadium.
Calder, who made his Rovers debut against Shrewsbury Town, was rewarded for his promise with a new contract by new Villa boss Roberto di Matteo but will help Rovers in their quest for an instant return to League One first.
The acquisition of the former England youth international takes the number of players signed by Rovers this summer to nine.
