A message from Doncaster Rovers Supporters Club

25 November 2014

The football club received the following in the aftermath of the 4-1 FA Cup win over Weston-super-Mare.

Following the Doncaster Rovers away victory at Weston-Super-Mare last Tuesday night, a game rearranged from ten days earlier, the club have received the following communication from the Supporters Club;

"We would like to say a big thank you to Doncaster Rovers for their most generous contribution to the cost of the two coaches for the rearranged fixture last Tuesday night all that travelled appreciated the gesture. This demonstrates that unlike a lot of other clubs our club appreciates and cares about the travelling fans.

We had a lot of disappointed supporters on the day the game was postponed and unfortunately could not help them as we still have to pay for the coaches that travelled down that day. We will be looking into to the possibilities of rewarding the fans for their loyalty later in the season.

The players giving their shirts away to the fans was also appreciated considering that they would have to pay for them individually.

We are here to help the club and look to moving our close relationship forward in the future for the benefit of all of us.

Len South
Chairman Doncaster Rovers Supporters Club"
