We are delighted to announce Richard Chaplow has become our fourth signing of the summer.
The 30 year-old midfielder joins on a two-year contract and brings a wealth of experience to Paul Dickov’s side.
Beginning his career at Burnley, Chaplow was snapped up by Premier League outfit West Brom back in 2005.
A two year spell at Championship side Preston North End followed, before joining League One Southampton, initially loan before that was turned into a permanent deal in January 2011. On the south coast, Chaplow had great success, playing an instrumental role in Southampton’s successive promotions to the Premier League.
Chaplow joined Milwall in 2013 and spent the end of last season on loan at Championship side Ipswich Town, before being released by the London outfit.
Richard took part in his first training session at Cantley Park this afternoon and will travel with his new teammates to Portugal next week.
