Club Statement

8 September 2015

David Blunt, Chairman of Doncaster Rovers Football Club has today confirmed that Paul Dickov has left his position as first team manager based on performance to date.

The Board are ambitious for a top six finish and that is, and will remain our aim.

The club will now seek applications for the post on a permanent basis. The club will not rush into making any decision, the recruitment process will be thorough and we will ensure that we appoint the strongest candidate for the position.

From today Rob Jones will take charge of first team affairs on a temporary basis. The club has full confidence in Rob as we now look forward to a tough game against Walsall this weekend.

The Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to thank Paul Dickov for his efforts on and off the pitch, and wish him well for the future.

The club promise to update our supporters on the recruitment process on a regular basis through our official communication channels.
