Doncaster grateful for donations made by supporters club.
Doncaster Rovers Football Club would like to thank the Doncaster Rovers Supporters Club (Retford Branch) for inviting Rob Jones, Gavin Baldwin (CEO) and Ryan Murrant (Marketing and Communications Manager) to their AGM on Thursday night.An enjoyable evening ended with a Q and A for Rob, Gavin and Ryan where fans discussed tactics, signings, increasing attendances and joked about Rob Jones releasing a Christmas single!
The Supporters Club then presented Rob, Ryan and Marie Hepburn (Club Doncaster Foundation) with cheques for £1,250 (donation), £1,560 (player sponsorships) and £500 (donation) respectively. The monies received will go towards gym and rehabilitation equipment for Cantley Park and investment in attracting young children as fans of the future through the Club Doncaster Foundation.
CEO Gavin Baldwin said: “This group of supporters cover every mile of Rovers travels during the season. Rob, the players and the club are grateful for that and it is noticed by others.
"The night was very enjoyable and it was good to see so many familiar faces. The money they have so kindly donated will go straight back into the club as we continue to make investments to improve the football club. We would like to thank them all again for their hospitality on Thursday evening."
