Education at Rovers

24 February 2015

The Club Doncaster Foundation have invited pupils from partner school Hungerhill to the Rovers Education Centre for some guided learning before this evenings game.

Pupils will leave school early to come to the REC before they settle down for some guided learning before going into the stadium to watch the game.

Headteacher Mrs Redford-Hernandez said:  “We work closely with Club Doncaster Foundation and Doncaster Rovers FC through our Brighter Futures Learning Partnership Trust and over the years, have collaborated to deliver a number of successful projects. The idea of pupils being encouraged and supported to do their homework whilst also supporting their local team is an excellent initiative and allows our pupils to continue their studying in a relaxed and unique environment”.

Liam Scully CEO of Club Doncaster Foundation said: “The initiative is a great way to help develop our relationships with our partners and for the children to benefit from studying in a different environment. To finish the day by studying here and then watching a Rovers game works as a great incentive for the pupils academic aims as well as a means to opening up Doncaster Rovers to as many young people as possible”
