Evina Joins Rovers

30 July 2014

Cedric Evina has signed for Doncaster Rovers

Twenty-two year old Cedric Evina has signed for Doncaster Rovers on TWO year contract.

The full back arrives at the Keepmoat Stadium to reunite with his former manager Paul Dickov following their brief spell together at Oldham Athletic.

Evina started at Arsenal’s academy aged just nine and would spend eleven years with the Gunners but, despite winning the 2009-10 FA Premier Academy League alongside the likes of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Benik Afobe and Emanuel Frimpong, was unable to make the jump to the first team and so signed for the Latics permanently following a loan spell.

A return to London called for Evina and he spent three years with Charlton Athletic - where he scooped the League 1 title in 2012 - and crafted his trade over 35 appearances with the Addicks.

Still in his early twenties, Evina underlines the club’s investment in youth.
