Ex-Rovers manager becomes England youth coach

Former Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll is the new England under 19s coach.

Doncaster Rovers would like to congratulate former manager Sean O’Driscoll on his recent appointment as head coach of the England u-19’s men’s football side.

O’Driscoll, aged 57, spent five years in charge of Rovers from 2006 – 2011 and lead the club to the 2007 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and the 2008 League One play-off final victory over Leeds United at Wembley.

Following promotion, the former AFC Bournemouth stalwart kept the Club in the second tier with a unique brand of passing football before departing in September 2011 with a 36% win ratio.

Everyone at the Rovers would like to wish Sean all the best in his endeavours with the national setup.
