Rovers official website met up with physio Alex Dalton at Cantley Park this morning (Tuesday) to get an update on the injured players.
Theo Robinson
He had his knee operation and was scheduled to get back in action last week but unfortunately he took ill, which has put him behind. Once he is over this he will be back in full training and competing for a place in the starting line up. We now await when he gets over the illness.
Jamie McCombe
Jamie has been to London to see a sports medicine doctor and he is pain free, so is doing well at the moment. At the end of the week we will be looking to start him gently jogging but nothing too strenuous and we will take it from there.
Rob Jones
Rob had a cervical nerve route block injection but unfortunately it has not had the desired effect, which means that he will more than likely have to have a neck operation. This is a cervical fusion to rectify the problem. He goes down this week but it will probably be early next week when he has the operation. After this it‘s 3 months complete rest, so we then look to next season for him.
Gabi Tamas
He is back out running so should be back in contention for Saturday and we will assess on Thursday.
Chris Brown/Jordan Bowery
They are also back in the running for the weekend after feeling ill before the Yeovil game.
Harry Forrester
Very frustrating after our work, he got a knee injury in training. This has meant he has had to have an operation similar to Chris Whincop and Theo Robinson, which means his season is over.
