Dear Rovers fan

Thank-you for your continued support of Doncaster Rovers.  I sincerely hope that you have enjoyed watching the club turn around during the past few months, and are as excited as I am for our final push for promotion back to the Championship, where I genuinely think we belong.

The club have undergone a series of changes during the past twelve months.  Relegation was obviously a low point but has been followed by a series of highs.  Dean Saunders did a remarkable job rebuilding the team and bringing in quality players such as our Captain Fantastic, Rob Jones, whilst giving our younger players, such as James Husband, time to shine too.  Unfortunately though, Dean has decided to move on and whilst we wish him well, please rest assured our aim is to find a manager capable of helping us achieve promotion this season.  Over the next few days we will be conducting a thorough search in order to ensure we find a manager who can help put this club back into the Championship, and who will also be keen to build on our youth structure and help ensure the club is always at the heart of the community

Off the pitch the club finally inherited the management of our ground, and our new Chief Executive, Gavin Baldwin, has done a remarkable job of ensuring Keepmoat Stadium is an asset and not a burden on the club.  This year the club looks set to make a profit of £250,000 from Keepmoat Stadium, which will be invested back into the first team.  This is a remarkable achievement as the facility was budgeted to lose close to £1 million this year from the forecasts we were given.

This year the Club has also employed the services of one of the country’s leading fan engagement experts, Mark Bradley, and Mark has been working closely with the staff at the club and with the supporters groups to run the ‘In Rovers We Trust’ project.  As a result of this project the relationship between Doncaster Rovers supporters’ clubs and the club has never been better, and through the work of Martin O’Hara and the Viking Supporters Co-operative, and Len South and Paul Mayfield from the supporters’ clubs, a series of changes have been made at the request of fans this season including cash gate trials, the removal of match categorisation, the introduction of shuttle busses to the town centre after games, and improvements in food and drink provision.

With 2012.13 season tickets the club also introduced ‘The Ultimate Package’, a series of benefits for season ticket holders.  This is by far the biggest reward package any season ticket holder in the country gets for their season ticket purchase. Over 500 prizes have been issued to season ticket holders this season and we still have opportunities to ‘Play on the Pitch’ to be drawn.

The club also made a commitment to season ticket holders in 2012 to not devalue their purchase by offering wide-spread discounts or promotional offers.  I’m pleased to say we have kept that commitment, and this year match day prices were fixed to ensure you have the best financial package for your season ticket.  

As we move into 2013 we now get set for our season ticket campaign for the 2013.14 season, when I, like you, hope that we will have fulfilled our potential and climbed back to the Championship.   

As always, the Club likes to go on sale for season tickets early in order for us to help meet our cash-flow budgets, and start to allocate and plan funds for the manager to use in the summer in order to improve the squad.  We are conscious that at this stage our league position makes our divisional status in 2013.14 unsure.  In consultation with supporters groups we have therefore made the decision to offer a price freeze on 2013.14 season tickets up until March 31st.  

A full decision on the full price of season tickets and match day prices for 2013.14 has not yet been made, as the club waits to have a further understanding of its divisional status. However, the club guarantees that purchasing a season ticket during the early bird window will be the cheapest way to support Doncaster Rovers during the 2013.14 season.

As part of our price commitment, adults can support the club for just £14.74 per game next season, whilst junior prices have been fixed at £40 and £80 for yet another season.  For full price details on adult, concessionary and children prices please click the following link - Season Ticket Prices.

The club is once again repeating the family offer in the DCLT Family Area, with families of three, four or five being able to secure a discount on their household purchases.  The club is also pleased to announce that once again we will be offering Under 8’s a free season ticket in this area. This year the club is bringing back the 4 month spread payment option, available through the club without the need for a credit check or external finance provider.  The club is also providing an online renewal facility to allow supporters to renew their season ticket online without having to visit the ticket office.  Full details of our flexible ways to pay will be released during the next few days.

The club once again urges all supporters to commit for next season as soon as possible, and throughout the months of January, February and March will be putting on incentives for supporters who purchase their season tickets during the window.  Our early bird window incentives are available to view here
