Congratulations to the Doncaster Rovers Kickz team who have reached the Kickz Cup 2013 final
after taking part in the regional final held here at the Keepmoat Stadium on the 4th of May.
The 16’s team, managed by ex Doncaster Rovers player Tim Ryan competed in fine spirits and ended up finishing 4th in their group, and have qualified through the Fair Play Award to reach the final which will be held at West Ham United on the 8th of June, where the likes of Manchester City, Newcastle United and Fulham will be waiting.
Kickz is a project engaging with young people, male and female, in a range of activities like football, boxing, parkour, bmx etc and creates a safer, stronger, more respectful community through the development of young people’s potential.
The sessions take place at Balby Carr (3G pitch) and run three evenings a week and are open for all 10-19 year olds free of charge.
Thursday: Parkour (free running) 5.30pm-7.00pm
Friday: Football 6.00pm-9.00pm
Saturday: Football (competition) 6.00pm-8.00pm
