Doncaster Rovers are, today, pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Lee Fowler from Fleetwood Town.

The deal sees Fowler join Rovers on a permanent deal until the end of the season for an undisclosed fee.

The Welshman will be available for selection for Saturday’s game with Colchester United subject to Football League clearance.

The 29 year old has agreed to link up with Dean Saunders for a second time in his career having being with the Rovers manager at Wrexham.

Saunders has finally landed his man as he is a long time admirer of the midfielder and has tried to bring him to the club previously.

Fowler started his career as a trainee at Coventry and has played for a number of non-league clubs before he joined Fleetwood in January 2012.

Lee has been allocated the number 21 shirt.
