Keepmoat Stadium hospitality set for huge refurbishment ahead of new season.
LEGENDARY status is about to be confirmed for Doncaster Rovers corporate supporters after the club announced plans to renovate its hospitality lounge.Since moving to the Keepmoat Stadium in 2007, the ‘Premier Club’ has played host to sponsors, businesses and fans who wanted to enjoy the Rovers experience in VIP style.
And as a thank you for the support the club has received over the past nine years, a significant investment has been made to completely refurbish and re-launch the corporate product, with the brand new ‘Legends Club’ about to come into being.
Head of Commercial, Andrew Whitham said that it was important to see the changes as an evolution of the current corporate offering.
“The Premier Club has been a bustling and thriving place to be for more than nine years and has seen some of the most successful years in Doncaster Rovers history,” he said.
“But we wanted to freshen things up a little and give something back to the corporate supporters that have given us so much over the years.
“Over the next few weeks wholesale changes will be made throughout the corporate areas in the Donasonic SMT Extra East Stand, in time for the big kick off in August of the 2015/16 football season.”
This year has been one of celebration at the Keepmoat Stadium, most notably in terms of the contributions made by stalwart James Coppinger to the Rovers’ cause in his time at the club.
The newly refurbished lounge will be worthy of similar celebration, and Whitham said that when it came to choosing a new name for the corporate membership, there was only ever going to be one winner.
“While we have been recognising James Coppinger’s testimonial year, it has had us thinking back to the other greats to have donned our red and white” he said.
“There has been some phenomenal success for this club in the last nine years and many names have etched themselves into Rovers folklore, achieving legendary status.
“The new ‘Legends Club’ is the perfect tribute to those players who have done so much for Doncaster Rovers and we are delighted to honour them in this way.”
