Premier League Club Liverpool will visit the Keepmoat Stadium tomorrow (Saturday 9th May) to face a number of Doncaster Rovers Academy teams in a series of fixtures.
As an end of season special to reward the players and the staff for all their hard work, a number of friendlies have been arranged as Doncaster Rovers take on Premier League opposition on the main pitch in front of a crowd at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Featuring from both academy teams will be U9, U10, U11, U12, U13 and U14 age groups.
This fantastic opportunity was organised by Academy Manager Paul Wilson who wanted put on the event as a thank you to everyone involved with the 2014/15 season.
“It is something I have been thinking about for a while,” Paul Wilson said.
“Fitting it into the schedule has been difficult but Nick Marshall at Liverpool is a friend of mine and we both agreed it will be a great event.
“It will be a fabulous occasion for all the players involved. Having the opportunity to play against Liverpool on the main pitch at the Keepmoat will be something they remember for a very long time.
“Everyone at Doncaster Rovers Academy would like to thank Liverpool for agreeing to make the trip across for the games. I hope everyone they all enjoy the games.”
Tickets for the day are available on the gate and are priced at £2 per adult and £1 per concession.
