Main Ambition

Curtis confident of carrying Rovers forward.

Curtis Main has said that he feels now is the time to stand up and be counted.

The powerful striker is returning from a lengthy lay off but wants to be the man to lead Rovers out of their recent barren patch.

“I’ve got more than a weeks training in me and a couple of sub appearances so its up to the manager as to whether I get the nod to start so we’ll just see,” Main said ahead of the arrival of high flying MK Dons.

“It’s a big game; it’ll be a good game. They’ve had a decent start to the season with some big performances and with it some big wins. I’m looking forward to it though and just want to get involved.”

Main has not started a game since August and, after a positive opening, has been laid up since.

“It [the injury] wasn’t ideal as I’d come down and felt good and had a great start but its unfortunate and one of those things in football and I’ve just got to get on with it,” he said.

“Everyone’s frustrated not being able to continue the consistency but I’m raring to go and excited about playing a lot of football and getting game time.”
