As the players got prepared to face Blackburn Rovers last Friday evening, 2 lucky families were selected at random to receive a fantastic treat ahead of kick-off.

One family of Rovers supporters and one family of Blackburn supporters were chosen to receive an extra special treat.

As a part of the In Rovers We Trust project, Doncaster Rovers introduced ‘Moments of Magic’ whereby supporters, chosen at random, get to take part in money can’t buy experiences.

Ahead of the game against Blackburn, Doncaster Rovers chose the two families to take part in a ‘Moment of Magic’ by inviting them down to the dugout area to observe the players, as they prepared for the big game.

“You have a very good club, which is family orientated. Not many clubs would have given that opportunity to the away supporters; I think a lot of other clubs could learn a thing or two from you.”

Blackburn supporters Scott, Bernadette and Mathew Spencer were also treat to the moment of magic and after the game Spencer said: “I’d like to thank the club for giving us the opportunity to watch our players train from the dugouts before the game.

“The result and performance capped of a truly magical evening for us.”

Martin McMahon said: I would just like to thank the club for the fantastic gesture we received on Friday evening. The boys and I really enjoyed ourselves and they were still excited by it all, even the next day!!

Rovers’ supporters Martin McMahon, Patrick McMahon, Liam McMahon and Joe Brogan were all treated to the pre-match ‘Moment of Magic’ and were able to watch the their heros train from the position which would normally be occupied by manager Paul Dickov.

The families also got to meet the players as they retuned back to the dressing room for their final preparations before kick-off.
