New Business Cup captain named

Business Cup returns to the Keepmoat Stadium in July!

The new team captain of The Crown Hotel Bawtry Doncaster Business Cup has been named Alexander Van Steen of Axita Limited

 

Taking place this year on July at 3pm at the Keepmoat Stadium, Team Plant will face off against newly signed Team Van Steen, raising thousands for five local charities and bringing the Doncaster Business Community closer together!thSaturday 18

 

Now in its fifth year, The Crown Hotel Bawtry Doncaster Business Cup is a full 90 minute football game played at the famous Doncaster Rovers Football Ground, the Keepmoat Stadium. Senior Business people from the town, sponsored by their business train for over three months to face off against each-other in an action packed, family friendly tournament to be crowned winner.

 

Alexander Van Steen (28), Director of four year old Full Service Marketing Agency Axita Limited of Doncaster accepted the offer of Captaincy just two weeks ago and promises to bring both his business enthusiasm and Army leadership qualities to the Cup.

 

“It is an honour to have been considered to lead my platoon (as it were) into battle, I will definitely have a few tricks up my sleeve” commented Alexander. “Seriously though, its wonderful that we can donate our time and fund such an event that will hopefully entertain all ages and support our fantastic local Charities and the wonderful life changing work that they do.”

 

Opposing team captain and one of the Founders, Dave Plant of Moirae, who is actually a business competitor of Alexander Van Steen recommended him following the resignation of Gary Rodgers of RH Recruiting. Stepping down as team captain, Gary commented: "With the scores between Team Plant and Team Rogers 2-2 I thought it was a good time to take a break. Its been a wonderful event I have felt privileged to co-lead and I’m sure Alexander Van Steen will take his team on to victory this year.”

Last years business cup raised an astonishing £7,500.00 for the Doncaster based cancer charity Firefly. This year, being the 5

 

“Its great to be doing this for local people in the spirit of co-operation, and to have the support of so many as well. Overall we estimate over 50 businesses will contribute in some way, and that’s amazing,” said team captain Dave Plant.
