Rovers confirm Husband departure

30 July 2014

James Husband leaves Doncaster Rovers and joins Middlesbrough FC

Doncaster Rovers can confirm that James Husband has joined one time UEFA Cup finalists Middlesbrough.

The left back has moved to The Riverside Stadium for an undisclosed fee, which will see striker Curtis Main head in the opposite direction.

Twenty year old Husband made his Doncaster debut against The Boro in 2012 as a second half substitute, replacing Shelton Martis, before going on to make a further 72 senior appearances.

These included important goals against Crawley Town (his first), Shrewsbury Town, AFC Bournemouth and Blackburn Rovers last season.

The youth team product will feature in the Sky Bet Championship and joining Aitor Karanka’s outfit will see him link up with former Rover George Friend.

Rovers today confirmed the signing of Cedric Evina.
