Dickov On Leeds
“Leeds play a system at the moment that Brian has introduced to them, which makes them hard to play against.

"They are scoring goals and playing good football but as we proved against QPR, we can compete with these sides. We have to make sure that because Ross McCormack is having a good season, we don’t concentrate solely on him. They have a number of good players such as Mowatt and Murphy plus one I know a lot about, Matt Smith.

"Matt is a player that I watched a lot when I was at Oldham, when he was in non league football. He is a fantastic kid who wants to learn more and develop. To see him score goals at this level is a credit to him because he is not just a handful on the pitch but a great kid off it.

"I would have loved to have brought him here but at that time I had other priorities in other positions, so we lost him to Leeds. I hope he as lots of success but not until after Saturday!”

Rovers Support Pilgrim Bandits
On Saturday at the Leeds game, Doncaster Rovers Football Club, in conjunction with Leeds United Football Club, is supporting the official charity ‘Pilgrim Bandits’.

Originally, the Pilgrim Bandits were merely a group of friends who played golf together and raised funds for a number of other charities. ‘Pilgrim’ is a nickname for members of certain Special Forces Regiments taken from Flecker’s poem “The Road To Samarkand”.

As an official charity, Pilgrim Bandits also share experiences with school-children and their schools, along with residents of established care homes. The servicemen and women share their world, and in doing so they inspire people, young and old, to believing that anything is possible.

Ben Parkinson MBE is a patron of ‘Pilgrim Bandits’. ‘Pilgrim Bandits’ is able to provide the care and support it does because of the hundreds of volunteer fundraisers and challengers who wish to help. If you would like to become involved in helping to raise funds for ‘Pilgrim Bandits’ contact them now and they will give all the help they can to you.
