The left back Enda has played in the Europe League for Irish sides St Patricks Athletic and Shamrock Rovers before joining Premier League Villa in 2011 on a three year contract. The signing of Stevens ends Paul Dickov’s search for a left sided player and he can also play as a centre half.

In 2011 Enda would sign three-year contract with the Premier League club to commence in January 2012. The agreement allowed Stevens to remain at Shamrock Rovers until January 2012 to support them in their maiden UEFA Europa League campaign. Following Shamrock Rovers' exit from European competition, Aston Villa officially announced the signing of Stevens in January 2012. Stevens spent most of his first months at Villa playing for the reserve team. He then made his first start for the first team in a 2–1 pre-season victory over Burton Albion, in July 2012. He made his full debut for the team, starting in Villa's 3–0 win against Tranmere Rovers in the League Cup second round and also came off the bench in the fourth round win over Swindon Town.

Stevens made his first league appearance for Villa in a 1–0 win against Sunderland in November 2012, coming on as a substitute for Eric Lichaj. Stevens made his full league debut for Villa in the next match, starting against Manchester United in November 2012.

Stevens made four appearances for Notts County in August this season, making his debut for them against Liverpool in the Capital One Cup on 27th August then returning to Aston Villa.

Enda will be available for the game against QPR on Saturday and will wear the number 31 shirt.
