Season Ticket Update

24 March 2015

Season ticket sales for 2015/16 are up on this time last year as we approach the ‘Early Bird’ March 31st deadline.

The new unreserved seating in the Polypipe South Stand has certainly stirred an interest as nearly half of sales so far have been for this area. It has also seen the largest area of growth from new fans.

The young person category has been changed so that 17-21 year olds can now take advantage of the £6.04 per game across the season and a large percentage of sales have come from this age category who are keen to help improve the matchday atmosphere next season.

With that in mind, our fan panel have helped develop the “Black Bank” initiative to improve the feel of a matchday on the terraces. They have worked closely with Huddersfield Town and their “North Stand Loyal” initiative as they have the same aims and the same beliefs that fans should be behind the team together, as one!

Ryan Murrant Marketing and Communications Manager said: “The brief from above has been to make this a better place to come for our fans. That started with the ‘In Rovers We Trust’ surveys that lead to the unreserved seating concept and now continues as we talk to our fans and other cubs about how to improve the matchday offering and atmosphere.

“One of my key projects here is to look at what our matchday offers our fans and to find a way of making it better. From food, to the pre-match, post match and the atmosphere itself, this is an absolute priority for the Club and for myself. We regularly meet with the fan panel to discuss this and also I meet with other clubs to see what they do.

“Recently I visited Manchester City and saw their City Square which is possibly the benchmark for all Clubs. I also visited Middlesbrough and they possibly have the best model for post match activities. Later this week I will visit Wolverhampton Wanderers again to discuss their ideas and how they generate such a great atmosphere at Molineux and how their fans feel the stadium is ‘theirs’, so to speak.

“I also ask our fans to get in touch directly if they would like to suggest anything they feel would make the experience better or even the concourse more personable.

"This is a very exciting time for the Club as we aim to develop things both on and off the pitch.”
