Steer Thanked by Club

1 November 2014

Aston Villa loanee returns to parent club with best wishes of Rovers.

Aston Villa goalkeeper Jed Steer was thanked for his loan stay by Paul Dickov on behalf of Doncaster Rovers after the promising youngster returned to his parent club.

During his stay in South Yorkshire, Steer started every game for Dickov’s side and kept four clean sheets in the process.

“We spoke to Villa yesterday and they’ve taken him back,” said Dickov.

“He’s come in and said his goodbyes and we’d like to thank the respective parties for his stay here.”

Steer’s departure has allowed the club to re-sign Sam Johnstone on loan but Dickov has not ruled out the possibility of a return for the 22 year old stopper.

“He’s come in and got better and better and done a great job for us,” Dickov finished.
