Promotion specialist earns short term contract at Keepmoat Stadium.
Stephen Bywater has put pen to paper on a six month contract with Doncaster Rovers.The experienced goalkeeper signed on a short term contract after his recent release from Championship side, Millwall.
A former England U21 international, the 33 year old has three promotions on his impressive CV, most recently with South Yorkshire neighbours Sheffield Wednesday.
First team manager Paul Dickov said: “We are delighted that Stephen has joined us. He is a fantastic goalkeeper and a unique and charismatic individual. He’ll be great to have around. A few of us have worked and played with him before so he’ll have no problem fitting in. Young Marko [Marosi] will definitely benefit from having someone as experienced as Stephen around. He will learn a lot from him.”
Bywater could make his Doncaster debut against local rivals Barnsley at Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday.
