INJURY UPDATE - WITH DEAN SAUNDERS

Posted on: Mon 30 Jan 2012
Chris Brown is injury free and will spend two weeks with fitness coach Mal Purchase to regain fitness.

Brown, who scored on his first appearance after signing from Preston in the summer, has not played in the first team since August 20 after suffering knee and back injuries.

But the 27-year-old striker is now back running and heading the ball.

Rachid Bouhenna is back in full training  following his ankle operation.

James Chambers has also joined in with full training after almost eighteen month out.

Neil Sullivan is still in a cast following his thumb operation and is two to three months away from a return.

George Friend is making good progress with his rehabilitation after sustaining a knee ligament injury.

Paul Keegan is on target to start running next week following a thigh muscle tear.

Pascal Chimbonda also has a thigh muscle injury and could be out of action for another two weeks.

James Coppinger is being monitored after suffering a fractured cheekbone and is out for at least six weeks.
