Junior Rovers held another of its very popular training ground visits yesterday (Thursday) with just over 40 members attending on what was a very cold morning. As usual, Richard and Wayne from our Rovers in the Community were on hand to help out with a spot of fun activities to get the children warmed up. At one point, even the parents were called upon to get involved and take part in the action.
Lunch of soup and sandwiches followed, and a chance to watch the first team in action on the training field. With a few injuries in camp at the moment, the children had to keep their wits about them as players were coming and going from the gym and the treatment table, and they were able to grab their heroes for autographs and photos.
Once training was finished the rest of the squad made their way over to meet the waiting army of fans. Another great day was had by all, with thanks to Sean, Richard and the players for giving up their time, and Ian and Sam in the kitchen for providing lunch.
Look forward to seeing you all at the next Junior Rovers event. Its FREE to join so why not be a member and get all the benefits.
