Junior Rover members had their first taste of fun for this season, with an action-packed fun-filled evening at the local Superbowl.

28 members along with Mark Wilson, Billy Sharp, Gary Woods and Mustapha Dumbuya swapped their football boots for bowling shoes to fight for the crown of Ten Pin King.

After Rovers acquired the services of Billy Sharp on a permanent basis in the summer, he has obviously been brushing up on his bowling and taking some sneaky lessons after his poor performance at the last bowling event. He was out to win this time, and once he found his form, the strikes just kept coming, along with the highest player score of 142.

Highest individual score of the night for the juniors went to Lewis Scattergood with a score of 122 and first strike went to Alex McKenzie. Overall team winners were the Sharp team, which comprised of Billy Sharp, Michael Woodland, Liam Melville, Lewis Scattergood, Thomas Sherlock, Nathan Brown, Liam Brown and Bethany Miller with an outstanding score of 664.

Many thanks to everyone who attended, and a special mention to Mark, Billy, Gary and Muzzy for giving up their valuable time.
