It is with great disappointment that Rovers have to announce that despite a substantial salary offer from the club and a testimonial, midfielder Paul Green is to sign for Derby County. Derby made Green an offer he felt he could not refuse and the Rovers felt they could not match Derbys offer.

Doncaster Rovers are very disappointed that a player that the club has developed from the youth team to a Wembley appearance over the last ten years has made this choice, but obviously the money was the overriding factor.
