Doncaster Rovers will take on Cheltenham Town in the Third Round of the FA Cup on Tuesday 13th January 2009 at Whaddon Road.
The rescheduled fixture date was submitted to the Football Association and both clubs received confirmation and permission to play the tie on the 13th January.
The game was scheduled to be played on Saturday 3rd January; however a pitch inspection carried out by referee Neil Swarbrick judged that the pitch was not in a suitable playing condition, following heavy overnight frost which solidified areas of the surface.
If confirmed, the clash will kick off at 7:45pm at Cheltenham on the 13th, three days after Rovers' Championship clash at the Keepmoat Stadium against Bristol City.
A win for Sean O'Driscoll's side will hand the Rovers a home tie against Aston Villa in the Fourth Round of the oldest cup competition in the world.
Any supporter who purchased tickets for this afternoon's fixture are asked to keep hold of their tickets - as these WILL be valid on the date of the re-arranged fixture.
