Doncaster Rovers all but guaranteed their place in next season's Coca-Cola Championship, with an exceptional 3-1 win over Ipswich Town at Portman Road. Goals from Gareth Roberts, Paul Heffernan and James Hayter sealed the win which puts Rovers nine points clear of 22nd-placed Norwich City.
However, the main subject of focus for Sean O'Driscoll was the way that his side discovered a balance which caused the home side problems in East Anglia.
"I thought that we have struggled with our balance over the past four games. We've had aspects of our game that have been really good and other things that we could improve on," Sean told Rovers World.
"We've had a good weeks training and addressed a few things and the players have been excellent and I thought that we started the game fantastic. We got a bit of a fluky goal but our general play was top order and then, credit to Ipswich, I think they got back into the game and they gave us problems."
"At 1-1, we were glad of the half time whistle. It gave us a little time to reorganise and you can talk all you want in the changing rooms, the players have to go out there and do it and I thought they were excellent in the second half. We managed to do the things that we hadn't managed to do when Ipswich had the ball better and we were always going to be a half decent side on the ball. We defended really well and created chances all afternoon."
