Doncaster Rovers assistant manager Richard O'Kelly has been left impressed by Rovers' Boxing Day opponents Coventry City, after seeing the side play a number of times in preparation for his side's Coca-Cola Championship encounter at the Ricoh Arena.
The fixture last season saw Rovers succumb to a spectacular effort from David Bell, however Rovers go into the clash this season off the back of four victories on the bounce in the league; two of which have been away from the Keepmoat Stadium.
"I've seen them recently; away at Scunthorpe and I went to see them play Newcastle - where they were very unfortunate on the night," said Richard ahead of the Boxing Day clash.
"The most recent game that we saw was against Peterborough, where Freddy Eastwood moved back up front. They are a threat; they have Leon Best and Eastwood who are two dangerous players up front. They also have a very experienced manager and assistant manager, Steve Grayson - and both have been there, seen it and bough the t-shirts. Coventry City have a great mix of experience and youth and, playing them at home, will be a good test for us - however it is a place where we would like to go and put things right after last season.
