Despite losing their first game in five matches, Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll was delighted with his side's performance in a 1-0 defeat to Coventry City on Boxing Day.
In a game which saw the home side awarded not one, but two penalties, Doncaster Rovers were dominant against a Coventry City side themselves on a run of form.
Clinton Morrison scored the only goal of the game from the spot, after James Chambers was judged to have fouled Gary Madine inside the box.
"I thought we were excellent," Sean told Rovers Player.
"Away from home again, we were organised and disciplined and we defended really well as a team. I thought that the penalty - the first one - was a penalty; but you've got to give credit to the opposition. I thought that it was a good ball in and some good movement off Jason Shackell. If our forward had of gone through, I would have expected a penalty; so you can't have any complaints about that one."
"Generally, I thought we were excellent. We had an opportunity through Dean Shiels, they kept Billy Sharp quiet but I thought that we battled away and made good decisions. Overall, I'm disappointed with the result but pleased with our attitude and commitment. We didn't get complacent and when you have won four on the trot, it's easy to switch off and think that you can just turn off; but that hasn't happened. We've been nice and focused and on another day, we would have got something out of the game."
