Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll was left delighted with his side's performance, with Billy Sharp heading home his 12th goal of the season to give Rovers a 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday.
Rovers dominated their visitors from start to finish, condemning Forest to their third straight away defeat and giving Rovers their first three League points in five games.
"I thought that our tempo was right and that we learnt from the last game we played against Forest, where they pressed us really high up the pitch," Sean told Rovers Player.
"I thought that we coped with that really well and I thought that we coped with Jason Shackell coming off. We adjusted with that really well and we adjusted later on when Shelton came off. We've not had it easy, by any stretch of the imagination, and I think we deserved it. I'm trying not to look at it through rose-tinted glasses, but I'd like to think that we deserved the three points."
"A clean sheet in this division is sometimes as satisfying as three points. We had a clean sheet against Leicester, where we had to dig in at times, but I thought that we were always dangerous today. Our decision making was really good and our discipline was really good also. The people who came on (also did well); Mustapha came on for his home debut and did well in a difficult situation and I think that bodes well for the future."
