Doncaster Rovers midfielder Mark Wilson turned in an outstanding performance individually and as part of a superb Rovers team in Tuesday night's 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
The former Sheffield Wednesday loanee accompanied Brian Stock and John Oster in midfield against the Owls and has emphasised the importance of consistent high quality performances.
"I think that as the games are going by, there is a more consistent theme to my game," Wilson explained to Rovers Player.
"I'm enjoying the way that I am playing at the moment. Confidence is a big thing and I feel that I am playing with confidence at the moment, so I am happy."
"We can't get complacent or rest on our laurels, but the Gaffer's point always comes to the fore and that is performance. If you perform well, you will win more than you lose. At the moment we are performing to a high standard - even in the games that we were losing. Thankfully the wins are coming for us now."
Wilson, alongside fellow midfielder Brian Stock, also paid tribute to the fans making the trip to Hillsborough supporting the Rovers.
"The fans were brilliant and it was like playing a home game," laughs Wilson.
"They were fantastic today and I am just glad that we could put on a good performance like that and get the three points for them."
