CHAMBERS: PALACE ARE UNPREDICTABLE

Posted on: Sat 27 Feb 2010

Rovers full back James Chambers believes that Saturday's clash against Crystal Palace is a great chance for the side to put Tuesday evening's result against Leicester City behind them and start their progression up the table with three points against the Eagles.

"The fixtures are coming in thick and fast at the moment," said Chambers on RoversPlayer.

"It's a great chance for us to bounce back, against a side that are in a situation with things going on off the pitch. I'm not sure what to expect, to be honest and it will be interesting to see what they are going to come up with."

Chambers, who has been fortunate enough not to experience the intervention of the administrators with any of his previous clubs, has paid credit to the Palace players; with the side coming together in the face of difficult times to put some impressive performances in on the pitch as of late.

"I think you find sometimes in this profession that things go up against you. Most professional clubs and players would roll their sleeves up and say 'right, let's get some points and get on with our jobs.' When we last played them, I think we caught them on a bad day. They didn't look at it; they had Victor Moses there at the time and he didn't play too well. They are a difficult side to predict. They have Alan Lee up front, who can be a handful."

"From our point of view, every game is massive. It's another game, but if we can go into the game with the belief and the confidence that we have shown in recent games, we have every chance of coming away with the three points."
