Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll believed that his side did enough in Saturday's encounter with Crystal Palace to win the game; instead having to review a 1-1 draw after Kieran Djilali cancelled out James Coppinger's 36th minute strike.
Rovers created some fantastic opportunities in the first half of the Championship encounter at the Keepmoat Stadium, however some unfortunate decisions by officials went against the home side - with Rovers denied what looked to be a clear-cut penalty in the dying minutes.
"Sometimes in this division, things go in cycles; you can get everything and things go your way," Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll said on RoversPlayer.
"There are other times when you work extremely hard, you get frustrated and nothing seems to bounce. We've had two goals disallowed as well as lots of things in the game - but we've just said to the players, all you need to do is make sure that we react positively."
Player Radio: Sean O'Driscoll reviews Palace draw
"There's no point moaning, groaning and being disappointed whilst taking your eye off the ball. This is a difficult division and we know it. We had two defeats, so a draw gets us back on the road. We felt that we deserved three points and we probably should have had them."
"We created some really good chances in the first half, where the strikers have scored but have been offside or the goalkeeper's made a save and we haven't been able to get to the rebounds. We were positive though and we were bright and positive in the second half against Leicester as well and we have taken that into today's game. That's pleasing and you have to take positives out of every game. The referee's decisions probably would have helped, but we did enough in the game to come of the pitch to moan about a penalty that could have made it three or four-nil and not 2-1."
