Prince William has offered his support to 'Football for Heroes', The Football League's week of action in aid of Help for Heroes.
Help For Heroes is The League's Official Charity Partner for the 2009/10 season.
Between March 6th and March 14th, every one of The League's 72 clubs are raising funds for charity to help our Armed Forces, with Doncaster Rovers' clash against Derby County the Rovers' designated as our campaign game.
Prince William said: "The Football League's week of action to support Help for Heroes is a superb way of getting behind the men and women of the Armed Services, who lay their lives on the line for us - and so many of whom have been badly wounded.
"These Servicemen and women, for whom duty is everything, have earned the support of this country. I urge everyone at a League game to get behind Help for Heroes in any way they can."
Lord Mawhinney, Chairman of The Football League said: "The contribution being made by our armed forces around the world is both outstanding and humbling.
"As a nation we seldom thank them enough for the sacrifices they make. The Football for Heroes week will provide an excellent opportunity for supporters to show their appreciation for the work they do."
