Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll finally admitted that his side would be 'extremely unfortunate' to not be a Championship club next season, after the Rovers hit 51 points following Tuesday night's 2-1 win over Peterborough United at London Road.
The Rovers boss, who admits that he very rarely - if not ever - looks at the league table and that Championship safety is always his only aim, spoke to RoversPlayer after the final whistle at London Road.
"I don't think I can spin this one out any longer," laughed O'Driscoll.
"We'd be extremely unfortunate or extremely poor if we were playing in League One next season - so I am delighted. The players showed a great attitude today and we can move on to something else now. I don't like just saying things; I think you need a strategy and a plan. If we are going to do it - then we may as well give ourselves the best possible chance."
