Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll believes that Plymouth Argyle are more than capable of troubling the Rovers when the two sides meet at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3:00pm KO).
Argyle sit second-from-bottom in the Coca-Cola Championship, however the Rovers boss believes that Paul Mariner's mix of players and positive mentality possessed by the team will make them formidable opponents this weekend.
"I watched them on Tuesday night against Barnsley," O'Driscoll told Rovers Player.
"They played with lots of spirit, on a dreadful night on a 'pudding' of a pitch. I thought that their enthusiasm for the job shone through. They believe that a couple of good results would mean that they are out of it (relegation zone) and when you look at it, there's as much chance of that happening as there is us getting two good results and maybe being in the mix for the Play-Offs."
"It's all to play for and they beat Cardiff at Cardiff and Ipswich at Portman Road and that is another example of this division where anybody can beat anybody else. They could have beat Barnsley on Tuesday and Barnsley could have beaten them; it could have even been a 3-3 draw on the night. They showed in patches that they are as good as anybody and they showed in patches that they are likely to concede goals as well."
"Jamie Mackie is a handful and Plymouth have quite an eclectic list of players. They flew in a Zambian left-back who apparently arrived at 6:30 in the morning and went straight into the team; they have a French lad at centre-half and a wide left player who has come in from non-league in French football - so they are a mixed bag. In some sense, that is probably their 'ace in the hole'; it makes them unpredictable, but at the same time it probably makes them vulnerable. When a team beat Cardiff at Cardiff and Ipswich at Ipswich, you can't take them lightly."
