Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll has credited Monday's opponents Blackpool's 'fearless' approach to playing football in The Championship, ahead of the two sides' meeting at Bloomfield Road in the Bank Holiday clash.
Seventh-placed Blackpool are now just one point behind sixth-placed Leicester City and have played some of the best football seen in The Championship this term.
A win for Doncaster Rovers on Monday would restore the three-point gap between themselves at the sixth placed Foxes - making the encounter between the two sides nothing short of mouth-watering, with a 3-3 draw the final score the last time Rovers met Blackpool.
"I think that Ian has gone in there and got them playing without any fear," O'Driscoll said ahead of the encounter.
"In some senses, that is what we have been trying to do. They move the ball, they have one or two great players and they have good movement. It's no surprise they are where they are; we played a fantastic game at the Keepmoat and I would imagine it would be no different at Bloomfield Road. I don't think the state of the pitch makes it difficult to pass the ball, but you need to pass the ball at the right times and at the right moments."
"You still need plenty of movement and you need plenty of options and all the things you need to be a good passing side - whether the pitch is like a carpet or whether the pitch is worse for wear. They have done extremely well and it is nice to see teams like Blackpool fighting for honours."
