Doncaster Rovers face a Cardiff City side this weekend boosted massively by the shock signing of Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy on loan; however Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll believes that the acquisition of the Wales skipper merely enhances a squad, which will provide one of the toughest tests this year.
O'Driscoll has praised the attitude of the Bluebirds ahead of Rovers' visit to the Cardiff City Stadium, following Dave Jones' side narrowly missing out on promotion to the Premier League in the Play-Off Final last season.
"I saw Cardiff play against Derby last week and arguably, they are the two best sides in The Championship," Sean told RoversPlayer.
"Derby were excellent on the day and Cardiff matched them. They got the result in the end but it was a tight game, however Cardiff showed all of the qualities they have shown for the past two or three seasons. I think that adding Craig Bellamy to the mix leaves Dave (Jones, Cardiff manager) with a tough decision as to who he leaves out, because they were excellent last Saturday so it will be a difficult choice."
"They look to have got over the disappointment of the Play-Off Final and come out all guns blazing. You need to give credit to Dave and the players. They have not been distracted by all of the shenanigans that have been going on in terms of takeovers and tax bills and this, that and the other. Cardiff City are a team that will be there or there abouts, whether it is automatic promotion or Play-Offs, you can't see the top six not having a Welsh side in there somewhere."
