Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll has revealed his disappointment following his side's 4-0 defeat at the hands of Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon.
The Rovers boss was frank in his assessment of the clash, in which Rovers looked comfortable against a Cardiff City side buoyed by the arrival of debutant Craig Bellamy.
"I thought we were better than them in the first half," Sean told RoversPlayer.
"We obviously didn't capitalise on that and when they were better than us, they scored four goals. It's disappointing to be fair, because we didn't see it coming. When you look at the goals, the first of the goals was a bit unlucky because it was almost miscontrolled by Jay Bothroyd and the ball went through Adam's (Lockwood) legs. The other three, we were not good enough."
"I thought that we looked fragile at times and there was no reason because for large parts of the first half we were in control. The crowd were quiet because Craig Bellamy hadn't really touched the ball and we were having the possession. I don't know whether a goal knocks the stuffing out of you, because it shouldn't do, because that's an inevitability in The Championship. If you can only play when you are ahead by a goal, then you're wasting your time. I'm disappointed, very disappointed."
