Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll has heaped praise on young Tottenham Hotspur loanee Ryan Mason.
The 18 year-old arrived at the Keepmoat Stadium at the beginning of August on a youth loan, similar to that which brought Jordon Mutch to Rovers last term.
Since his arrival, Mason has made three appearances for the Rovers and impressed with his ability on the ball, as well as his courage to shoot from distance.
"He's a bright boy," Sean told RoversPlayer.
"He's a very technically gifted footballer for eighteen years-of-age. He understands the game and he picks things up pretty quickly. Unfortunately, he's eighteen, he's seven-and-a-half stone dripping wet and he's a technical footballer trying to make his way in an English division or league and that is difficult because it is all about pace and power."
"But he has been first class. I liked him when I watched him play and character-wise I think that he is first class. This is a good environment for him, he's amongst a first team squad and he's learning all the responsibilities that you need if you want to play in the Championship. I think that he understands that as well. He understands that there may be times that we don't play him and there will be the times where we will give him the licence to do well."
