Martin Woods joined Doncaster Rovers on a four-year deal in June 2007, declining the opportunity to join the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley.
After a difficult first season in the red and white hoops, Woods began to flourish following Rovers' promotion to The Championship and has since become an integral part of the team.
The Scottish left-sided midfielder, who has represented Scotland at every level up to U21, has forged a reputation in The Championship as having one of the best left-footed strikes in the division.
During the 2009/10 season, Woods developed his game further and earned plaudits for his combative and hard-working performances all across the midfield - even captaining the side in the absence of regular team captain Brian Stock.
