Doncaster Rovers signed striker Billy Sharp in a club record £1.15 million deal from Championship rivals Sheffield United in July 2010.
The prolific striker was a sensation during the 2009/10 season, in which he enjoyed an incredible campaign - netting fifteen goals in thirty-three appearances before a knee injury brought a premature end to his season.
As renowned for his goal celebrations as he is his goals, Sharp earned a reputation for himself whilst at Scunthorpe United where he smashed a host of records. Scoring the most ever goals in a season for the Iron, in all Sharp struck home 53 goals in 82 appearances whilst at Glanford Park.
A superb finisher inside the box, Sharp's work-rate and enthusiasm for the game have led to him becoming an instant fan's favourite, with the Rovers faithful dubbing him 'King Billy'.
