Waide Fairhurst is a player who was offered his first professional deal at the end of the 2007-08 season.
Waide started his career as a youth player at Sheffield United, before arriving at Doncaster Rovers whilst Dave Penney was Rovers manager.
A pacy striker, who can also be used as an attacking midfielder, Fairhurst scored a hatful of goals for Paul Wilson's youth side last term, as the team finished second in the Puma Youth Alliance North East division.
In addition, Fairhurst also scored on one of his appearances for the Rovers amongst the first team players in the pre-season campaign prior to the 2007-08 season; netting against Retford United in the opening game. The youngster signed a new two-year deal with Doncaster Rovers in July 2009.
