Winchester-born midfielder Brian Stock arrived permanently at the Rovers in January 2007 after impressing on an earlier loan deal.

Stock started his career at AFC Bournemouth, where he played in a total of 145 League games - scoring 16 goals.

In January 2006, Brian joined Preston North End in a loan deal, which switched to a permanent move. However, a change of manager at Deepdale lead to Stock given limited opportunities to play first team football - leading to a move to be reunited with former manager Sean O'Driscoll at Doncaster Rovers in a deal worth £150,000.

A brilliant player in the centre of midfield - Stock's ability to run at players and unleash long-range shots make him a force on the pitch and a hard player to contain. The midfielder was named Players' Player of the Year at the end of the 2008-09 season.
